i want to ask how we can play sound directly from our computer online in windows vista...
there is an option LineIn in windows xp for direct playing music....
but what about windows vista???

What do you mean directly from your computer? Please clarify.

i dont want to use my speakers to play music on an online chatting site...
i want to play it directly from computer ...
as i mentioned that there is an option in windowsxp audio settings >properties>recording>line in
i want to ask that how can i do it in windows vista???

Then what do you want to use? Exactly what thing on the computer are you going to use to play the music? Let me check my old XP computer to figure out exactly what you mean. I need to find out what Line In is. It would be easier to help you if you explain all the details. I still don't understand what you mean exactly by "playing directly from computer." ok let me explain you what is line in..
in windows xp we have 3 options in the recording menu....
1.stereo mix
2.line in
3.microphone
when we check stereo mix only the computer sound is audible like song directly played from computer but we cannot use our mic with it, while if we check on microphone it let us use our mic but could not play the background sounds (e.g songs )from the pc.
but when we put check on line in then it allows as to utilize but the mic and background sound from the pc....this really works good for recording purposes...
i want to ask if there is any "line in" type of option is present in windows visTA so that i can play song as well as speak on mic at the same time....
As you know if we play the songs through the spekers in the background,it contains a lot of distortion as well as the voice quality is also affected...
