Having several problems..I installed an HP printer using software for vista OS, but program will not recognize printer when I connect USB cable. Vista does recognize new hardware, however. Also, when I enter IP address for my LAN connection, it will not allow the combination of numbers. Both the printer and the LAN work on my Windows XP OS.

Vista has it's own software for HP printers, and will automatically install them on connection

Separate drivers are not required.
