Problem copy and paste from Windows Vista, please help !!!
I bought a new HP Laptop which is running Windows Vista, but I can not copy and paste in any application. From Windows XP, I can go to Services - Clipbook to configure it, but Windows Vista, this option already gone, I have no idea how to fix the problem, can anyone help me please !!!!!
Thank you!

If you highlight what you want to copy, and right click, choose copy and it will be on the clipboard.
Go to where you want to paste, and right click
choose paste.
-
That is basic!!!
But in Vista, the the copy and paste command all faded out. Not function at all.
In XP, I can go into Services - Clipbook - then enable it, but Vista, the clipbook function is gone, I have no idea where and how I can fix this problem.

ClipBook has basically nothing to do with your Clipboard.
ClipBook was an XP service for network sharing of clipboards.
ClipBook was not retained in Vista.
So back to the Clipboard: If you highlight this text do you not have the option to Copy it?
-
I can not use the function copy and paste at any application at all. Not just the text.

Is this a new problem? Did it work previously?
If so try a System Restore.
-
It was like that from the beginning.

I would just like to clarify what your question is.
We've had other threads here which confuse the basic "Clipboard" with what was in XP and Office the "ClipBook Viewer".
1) Can you highlight text?
2) If yes then can you Copy highlighted text?
3) If yes then can you paste said text?
If 1&2&3 then that is your clipboard working.
If you are talking about some other Copy/Paste function then we need to specify exactly what it is you are trying to do.

I can do the copy, when I tried to paste it, the command faded out, couldn't paste.
Also, there is no save command in Vista, I can't even save stuff.
Vista sucks....

And just to verify the keyboard controls do not work?
Ctrl + C = copy
Ctrl + V = paste
.....................
Other question: where are you looking for Save? That is not a clipboard function.
At this point I would just like to determine if your basic clipboard works.
