Hi there, Im new to vista, I have vista basic and im using windows mail. Im trying to attach a photo into a email. when i go to my photo gallery i click on the picture i want to attach and then i clicked on e-mail up top and then it goes to the resizing bit, i selected medium and then click on attach and nothing happened.

Hi Jephree, thats the same help page i went to and i have done all that. After i click on attach it says its preparing to send and then just goes away and no new email message with the attached photo comes up like it says its suppose to.
Thanks for your reply. I dont know if you rememeber me, i had a xp computer that kept on restarting on me,you were all helping me in here to try and fix it. it wont even start now so i have ended up buying a new computer with the vista, so i have a lot of learning to do.
Maybe i have a setting that i need to change to get the photos to attach?

2 ideas:

For instance, with HTML messages in Windows Mail and Outlook Express the
sender must have "Send pictures with message" checked at Tools | Options |
Send | Mail | Html Settings.


Windows Mail will display picture attachments below the message body.
Zip the attachments, then attach the zipped folder.


If you alter the search criteria you might find something more relevant.

Hi again, well i have just done some more searching and found this
"In the start menu click default progams and click set default progams. Click on windows mail and set as default. From your picture folder click on the picture you want and click email. Size it and click attach. An email will pop up and away you go"
So my problem is solved.
I thought i would put it in incase anyone else has the same problem. Easy fixed.
