I upgraded to windows vista from XP four months ago and today I attempted to boot up my computer and received this info: "failed to load because the system registry file is missing or corrupt". I cannot boot nor can I fix in BIOS. I have called DELL and they had no resolution. I do not want to pay the 59$ for windows tech help nor do I have the Vista installation disk because I upgraded through Circuit City online. I would appreciate any advice or tech help. Thank you.

You will need a System Disk to recover from such an error.

If "Circuit City" was your source of Vista they owe you recovery options.
