Windows symbol button won't open up start Menu

    Hi,

This is driving me crazy, I play a computer game and I need to minimize it to desktop so I open up another instence of it. Well the windows key button will not open up start menu. Even when im not in a game the windows key button does nothing when I press it. I know its not my keyboard cause its brand new with my brand new computer. I never had this problem with Windows XP

Is there anyway to reconfiger the windows vista buttons or is there a way to minimize my games so far I found shift + CTRL + escape minimizes it but i don't like that cause if i do it wrong and press escape first it closes off my game.

So anyway to open up the windows start menu/desktop with a keyboard button?

It seems most of them do work except the one that I need which is the windows key button to bring up start menu.

I play voyage century online and I need to switch boats on my other accounts so i need to minimize the game with windows key but the key does not even do anything or work i dont even know why they gave me a windows key if it does not do anything.

Do any of these Logo key combinations work:

    http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...033.mspx#ECFAC

    Microsoft keyboard shortcuts

The following table contains keyboard shortcuts for use with Microsoft keyboards.

Press this key To do this
    Windows logo key
Open or close the Start menu

    Windows logo key +PAUSE
Display the System Properties dialog box

    Windows logo key +D
    Display the desktop

    Windows logo key +M
    Minimize all windows

    Windows logo key +SHIFT+M
Restore minimized windows to the desktop

    Windows logo key +E
    Open Computer

    Windows logo key +F
Search for a file or folder

    CTRL+Windows logo key +F
Search for computers (if you are on a network)

    Windows logo key +L
Lock your computer or switch users

    Windows logo key +R
    Open the Run dialog box

    Windows logo key +T
Cycle through programs on the taskbar

    Windows logo key +TAB
Cycle through programs on the taskbar by using Windows Flip 3-D

    CTRL+Windows logo key +TAB
Use the arrow keys to cycle through programs on the taskbar by using Windows Flip 3-D

    Windows logo key +SPACEBAR
Bring all gadgets to the front and select Windows Sidebar

    Windows logo key +G
    Cycle through Sidebar gadgets

    Windows logo key +U
    Open Ease of Access Center

    Windows logo key +X
    Open Windows Mobility Center

Windows logo key with any number key
Open the Quick Launch shortcut that is in the position that corresponds to the number. For example, Windows logo key +1 to launch the first shortcut in the Quick Launch menu.

Have you tried both left and right Logo keys?

If yes and the Logo key does nothing I would return the keyboard for another.

Ok I just fixed it, it appeared I had "gameing mode" on I found a switch on the top of the keyboard it had a picture of a joystick and a picture of a PC monitor, I flipped the button to the "PC monitor" then I pressed the windows key now it seems to be working. Sorry to bother your time I didnt know about this button.
