I am useless at computers and have just bought a new hp pavilion dv6000 - tonight i ordered the Vista upgrade (i hope its good) but I was wondering - I have bought Office 2007 and need to install and start using it but on the Vista website it said that when installing Vista this may remove some applications and data - would this apply to Office and if so, can I simply reinstall it?

In general the upgrade will preserve your programs but you should definitely back up your data. In a worse case scenario you may need to reinstall Office.
