Hi there I am a newbie looking for help,
I just got a new HP notebook with Vista Home Premium on it. The unit was on display at Office Depot.
I tried installing a scanner and was old to open under "All Programs" the "Windows Fax and Scanner" program - well this program is not on my system. Can anyone tell me how to re-install it? (I looked through Microsoft sites and knowledge base but found nofin).

There is a Scanner and Camera Wizard under All Programs > Accessories >

There is a Printers and Faxes entry on the main start menu.

I'd guess you want the former.

Actually what I am looking for is "Scanner and Camera Wizard" which does not appear under all programs >Accessories > this is what I am trying to resolve.

oops!!! confused the two, whta I am missing is "Windows Fax and Scanning" under All Programs, not the scanner and camera wizard....

The Home version apparently does not have this option.

Windows Fax and Scan, available in the Business, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions of Windows Vista
