How many Add-ons do you have for FireFox?
    What version are you using?

How does it behave if you boot to Safe Mode with Networking?
What about if you boot normally but run Firefox with Add-ons disabled? You do this from Firefox, by clicking on the Firefox button at top left, then click on Help then Restart with Add-ons disabled

Re your question about Chrome. I use Chrome, have done for months. It takes a little learning and getting used to but it is far superior to any other browser I have used in years. We alll should have two browsers installed so why not try it and see how you go. I highly recommend Chrome

Let us know how you go please.

    kind regards,

ya...you can start chrome. it's better than firefox.
But if you wanna solve the problem of firefox then upgrade it. Your browser is crashing when you start to browse. By upgrading it can be fixed.

Number of ad-ons is the main cause to slow down the speed of firefox. I have been using firefox for many years, and I personally experienced that ad-ons affect the firefox performance.

    try clearing recent history...
and removing un-needed plugins. You may also need to reconsider of uninstalling and reinstalling new version.
