    Medion Laptop Modem Problems

I cannot get my laptop to access the internet since IO upgraded the software from Vista home 32 bit to Windows 7 home 32 bit. Before the upgrade, all I had to do was use the wireless button on the top front of the laptop and all was O.K. It no longer works. I have checked Device Manager and I get the message that the modem is working O.K. It is a Motorola SM56. I have downloaded drivers for it, I was informed by a Medion Technician that Vista drivers would be O.K. to use with Windows 7, but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help please? Regards, Lionel Jones.

What is the complete model number for your Medion laptop. Do you have a link to the web page you downloaded the driver from?

This looks like the Vista X86/X64 driver for your laptop. It should work with Windows 7.

    MEDION - Driver Details

Is that the one you are currently using? If not, download and install it. If yes, open Device Manager then expand Network Adapters. What does it show for your network device.

For instance, mine shows Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller. With that info we may be able to find a Windows 7 driver for it.
