    stumbled across

I just stumbled across something on windoows 7 task bar. not sure what I did and can't figuire out how I did it. I did something that made the notification area slide to the right hiding the date/time and a few icons that were showing. anyone know how to do this. looked online and couldn't find anything on it. TIA

START button > 'Search programs and files' BOX > TYPE 'clock' (without quotes)

Select LINK: 'Show or hide time clock icon on the taskbar'

no, that one I know. I just click somewhere on the task bar and the whole string of icons disappeared to the right. Sort of what you showed except instead of indivudually doing each one it did them all without any kind of menu

Right click on the Taskbar and make sure it is unlocked. Then you should see an icon made up of 3 vertical columns of dots at the beginning of each of the tool bars on your taskbar. You can click and hold to drag the toolbars to resize or relocate, then "drop" them into place. See if that helps.

Sorry digerati. I know about that one too. This was something I accidentally came across and thought it was a nice feature. If I ever find it I'll know how to reproduce it and describe it here.

Maybe if you right click on the Orb, select properties, go to the Taskbar tab, and change the location to the Top, it might [hopefully] be centered correctly. Then see if you can change it back to the bottom. You might have to restart Explorer after moving it to the Top to make sure it sticks.

Could this be it: Show or Hide the Taskbar Clock, plus Volume, Network, Power, and Action Center Icons - Windows 7
