I recently upgraded my Vaio VGN-NS20E from vista to windows7 and everytime I try to have a video chat over MSN, my webcame appears upside down to them.
Pretty sure a while back I had the same issue with vista but the video appeard fine in the webcam utility that came with the laptop. I managed to fix it then but cant remember how. Obviusly since installing windows 7 the webcam utility is gone.
The webcam works fine, it just appears upside down. I've gone into the cam tools in MSN but there no option to flip the video. I've scoured the internet for updated drives and similar problems but have not found a solution and it just says the laptop comes with a built in driver for the cam and the vaio website for drivers is not much help.
Can anybody help![]()
Found this:Do you also have the icon and if so, what options does it give you (or have you already been there)?when you go on cam with someone a little webcam icon will appear in your toolbar on the bottom right hand corner....its called ArcSoft Magic-i Visual Effects, double click that while on cam and it'll come up
The icon doesnt appear at the bottom right when the webcam is active. I'm guessing ArcSoft has to be installed separately.![]()
there are couple of things to check, webcam driver and the webcam manager. these are available in manufacturer's support page.
