    720- S.M.A.R.T Hard drive detects imminent failure

    hello friends

    i have this error from 1 days
    1720- S.M.A.R.T Hard drive detects imminent failure (Failing Attr: 05h)

    Please back up contents of the hard drive and run HDD self in F2 setup



    and i have impotant files and i cant make back up to them because this screen this error stop , i cant make boot or anything just i can to bios ,,


    any help pleese to take my files ???? then i will buy new one

    Hello helloworld and welcome.

    You need to pull that drive and install it into an enclosure and attach it to another computer, or install it as a secondary (not boot) drive in the other computer, then copy off your important files.

    Note, you could disable SMART monitoring in your BIOS (temporarily) and perhaps (hopefully - fingers crossed) it will allow you to boot normally, if the drive has not failed completely.
