I have a Dell PC with Win 7 Home and it will not start up. Startup fails every time, then Startup Repair launches; however, it is not able to repair the system. The next step was using Dell Datasafe Backup to restore to the factory image, but no luck there either. Still won't start up.

Being a dell, I don't have a Win 7 disk to try to run Windows Repair and I am at a loss here. Any advice?

First you need to try safe mode and check if you are able to boot to the desktop.

If you are able to boot into safe mode then in order to troubleshoot this issue further, you may unplug all the external devices except keyboard and mouse and check if you are able to boot to the desktop.



If you are able to boot to the desktop, you may try booting your computer from DVD and perform a system restore on your computer.
