Have a look here. A revised motherboard appears to compatible with this vendor's RAM. This may suggest that the original board was not functionally compatible as first introduced?:

    MSI 890FXA-GD70

    G.SKILL-Products

Check out further configurators as you pursue a reliable solution:

    Hi,

Do you remember making any recent changes to the computer prior to this issue?

I would suggest you to follow the steps in the link and check if the issue persists:

Also check event viewer for error follow the steps in the link:

What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?

@ pctech33, the BSOD started the day (pretty much within hours) of installing the new RAM. The pc would work with one stick installed (not either one, it had to be a specific one) I got my old RAM back and have been using that for the last week or so since I sent off the old RAM to for testing with the manufacturer. I got an e-mail from pccasegear today saying that they are sending a replacement so I assume that means there was an error in the RAM. Glad it wasn't my error. I will wait until I get the RAM and let you all know what happens.
I have been thinking about selling the new RAM and getting some with a fasted speed, although now I am a little concerned about compatibility. What specific factors should I check to ensure that the RAM is compatible with my system. In regards to latency, is a higher or lower number better? I'm currently using 2x2GB DDR3 1333mhz 8-8-8-22 @609mhz (according to everest) would I much much improvement if I used something like 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz 9-9-9-24.
Thanks again to you all for all your help, its very much appreciated.
    Dan

I got the replacement RAM today, I think I'm just going to sell it and buy some with a faster speed. If some one could give some advice to my last question

According to my MOBO specs, it can handle RAM with speeds of 1600Mhz Overclocked, does that mean that I could buy some that is already clocked at 1600? or wouldn't that work?
    Thanks
