BSOD Caused By POWER_STATE_FAILURE (Possibly due to unknown driver)

    Hello,

For months now my computer has randomly been crashing. I used WhoCrashed to determine the culprit, but it can not pinpoint the cause. All I know is that it is caused by a driver which causes a POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

I tried to go to Windows 7 forums for help, but they quickly stopped replying.

I've attached two of my minidump log files from my last two crashes.

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated!

    Thanks.

From the start menu, right click on command prompt (under accessories) and select run as administrator. Click yes on the UAC prompt. Now in the black box type in sfc /scannow. Have your Windows 7 disk ready.

Near the end of the log it this line:
2011-08-10 01:07:50, Info CSI 000002eb [SR] Verify and Repair Transaction completed. All files and registry keys listed in this transaction have been successfully repaired
but looking at the log I see this:
2011-08-10 00:54:32, Info CSI 0000002d [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:22{11}]"autochk.exe" of Microsoft-Windows-Autochk, Version = 6.1.7601.17514, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type neutral, TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, hash mismatch

    Doesn't look very important though.

    Hi,

Do you remember making any recent changes to the computer prior to this issue?

I would suggest you to follow the steps in the link and check if the issue persists:

Resolving stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7

Also check event viewer for error follow the steps in the link:

What information appears in event logs (Event Viewer)?
