To me, that defines the problem - not the keys or the keyboard.while doing nothing on desktop windows explorer search is popping up sometimes multiple times
This is odd. My first thought is malware, but Broni cleared you of that. Clearly, you are not alone - Google. And many of those suggest malware too.
If you look in Task Manager, you should be able to identify every process running (you may have to Google it) to determine if all running is legit. I might suggest that, for now.Sorry I have nothing else at the moment.
Ok I have SP1 already installed and when I go to the website to download driver it shows me 3
The one I have already is ELAN 7.0.6.5 which is the same as it offers me so should I reinstall the same driver? or will I try another one?
Each driver is specific to an installed/detected device (on ACER Laptop????), so you need to stay with the existing driver vendor.so should I reinstall the same driver? or will I try another one?
I am not sure a reinstall is necessary (try that after, if necessary). I would first try to find and adjust/experiment with any similar 'sensitivity' parameters if they exist - see if that makes a difference:
3) De-selected "tap to click" in the Dell Touchpad/Mouse driver, Touchpad Settings. (Access this through Control Panel, Mouse)
4) Moved the "touch sensisitivity" indicator towards the "heavy" end.
ok did the above and have not had the problem since![]()
Thanx u ever so much for your help![]()
