how do i remove it's dead jim virus on my Win 7 laptop?

trend micro did not fix this. it didn't catch said virus.

i saw the it's dead jim screen and turned off my laptop.

laptop is running ok so far. but, i'm afraid of doing anything on this laptop.

i ran a full system scan which did not catch said virus. system is ok, allegedly.

what does the it's dead jim virus do?

please advise.
