Hello,
When I start my y series sony notebook vaio care rescue starts up. I then have to exit this program and restart my computer. This happens every time I start up my notebook.
I have tried selecting start, accessories, system tools, task scheduler, task scheduler library, disable...to no avail.
I would appreciate your assistance
Thank you in advance
Terry

[SOLVED] How do I de-activate 'Vaio Care Rescue' at start-up? - Tech Support Forum
Hi, I downloaded autoruns, however I cannot find Vaio Care Rescue. I selected find and it replies cannot find string....
Any ideas?
Terry
The source that was provided is extremely reputable/reliable (MVP) and the outcome was clearly reported as successful:
You are using the 'Everything' TAB? Suggest you try single words such as 'Vaio' or 'Rescue' and/or experiment with the up and down buttons (in FIND). Shurely, the first word should have match(s).Save to Documents. RIGHT-click on AutoRuns.exe, select "Run as Administrator"; allow it to scan registry (status screen on bottom-left). Look for Vaio Care Rescue and un-check the box.
If no joy, you may need to contact Sony or do some further research (adding more search terms):
