Perhaps if you tell us your problems, we can fix those instead of giving up. What version? Have you tried IE9? It is clearly the best IE yet. And continues to dominate when it comes to security - a testament to how far IE has come since IE6 days.

That said, if you prefer an alternative browser, there are several that work fine. However, you still may need IE, and it should be working fine for those cases where no other browser will work. Some financial and educational institutions may restrict access to IE only, for example.

It would be better to simply disable it and make your alternative as the default.
