i didnt know how to title this,... ok i work from home using a dialer server and a softphone,.... i have been having lots of issues with the audio quality in the program, not sure if its from the server or the softphone... yesterday i went to the office, and was talking to my boss, and he was asking me a bunch of questions like which browser i was using and what not... i was using mozilla firefox to pull up dialer, and internet explorer to pull up web pages for internet when i needed to look something up.... he said dont do that,... and use only google crome.... and also it is a laptop, so he said to hard wire it.... well i did both at the same time, and the audio cleared up.... but then i decided to try and not hard wire it,... because its a laptop, it would be a pain to do that... so it works fine, wireless.... until i pull up anything else.... like word,... or a website... as soon as i do, voice quality on the dialer goes to crap... if i click off,.. it fixes... WHATS UP WITH THAT ?? i want to know why that is... basically... because there are times when i need the internet while on the dialer... please help... i need to work and im frusterated.... does anyone know anything about softphone codecs and what they mean and what they do.... ???
