My screen looks like it was set at 640x480, and with the new words that they use for control panel, I don't know how to find the display panel to readjust. Further, the screen is standard 4 x 3, instead of widescreen. How do I get back to the right settings? I remember losing a driver before, so that may be it, I don't know. Ideas?

The first thing to try is a System Restore to before this happened.

Control Panel, Backup and Restore, Recover System Settings of your computer, then click on Open System Restore.
