Lots of problems with BSOD and Norton

Ok, I get a BSOD with a stop message about every five minutes. Each time the stop message is different, otherwise I would post it here. I think I might have viruses, so I tried to scan my computer with Norton. It would go for five minutes without scanning anything and then I would get the usual BSOD. I have also tried to update Norton, but the same thing happens; it does nothing for five minutes, then the BSOD. I was able to run a scan with Norton in safe mode, but it took 2-3 hours, came up with only 1 virus, then wasn't able to remove the virus so it just decided to crash. Hopefully I've included enough information. I have been working on this all day and I really need it fixed soon, since I depend on my netbook for school.

    Thanks.

Well, usually BSODs are hardware or HW driver related. Any errors in Device Manager? Are your temperatures okay? Since you found one virus (and one is too many), I suggest you let our malware removal experts have look. Please read this then start a new topic here.
