Exclamation blue screen of death on win 7

so i recently changed mobo and decided to upgrade to win 7 while i'm at it.

it didnt happen at first but now its happening alot. i have problem booting and shutting down. it takes forever. like 30mins and it still wont shut down.

sometimes after shutting down ...it logging out ....then the blue screen comes out.memory dump.

it came out a few times when i was doing normal things....and not doing shut down as well.

something to note. it freezes sometimes. it never used to do that. it freezes and unfreezes. sometime the unfreezing's so long that i just press the power button.

    whats wrong with it?

It would help to know more about your computer and it is really hard to know how to help without knowing what the error is on the blue screen. When you are trying to shut down does it tell you that a particular program is not responding? When you, as you put it, upgraded did you upgrade windows from a previous version (and if so what) or did you do a clean install? It would have been best to do a clean install. Before you upgraded did you run the compatibility wizard? Are you using XP drivers or are they vista/7 drivers? XP drivers are incompatible; drivers for windows 7 are preferable but Vista drivers should work.

    particular program is not responding?

No, it jus ask me to force shut down some programs i left open. firefox, messenger..etc

and it was a clean installation cos i change the mother board. there was a problem on the old one and when it was replaced. i had to reboot my os cos new mobo! and i install win 7
