I have a laptop with Windows 7 Pro, and recently acquired an eMac with Mac OS X 10.3.9. The Mac has a few thousand songs on it, and I'd like to access them from my other computers, but Windows is balking with the connection.

What I've done: Map network drive to \\ipaddressofmac\homedirectory following the instructions provided on this page: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=54704

It finds the drive successfully, but then asks for my password. I've tried the username and password for the mac, but windows isn't accepting that, insisting that the password is incorrect... there IS no other password! Can anyone give me an idea why it's demanding a nonexistent password? Is something not set up correctly?

I'm having the same problem from the opposite end as well, attempting to map the win 7 drive from the mac.
