Connectivitiy Issues Wireless Docsis 3.0 Modem

Tonight I installed 7 on my laptop and created a homegroup (joined my homegroup) on my main pc which has 7 installed.

My internet was working fine but now it's not. I have roughly 5 to 7 devices that are able to connect to the wireless network I have.

    1. Main Pc (wired)
    2. Laptop
    2. living room computer/laptop
    3. G1
    4. G1
    5. G1

now the G1's are not connected to Wifi but the one laptop was and it was working fine until after I did the homegroup thing.

So I've tried restarting the router, the modem, the computer, the laptop (everything) I've tried refreshing IP addresses from both the laptop and the main pc. I've restarted the router to defaults. I have also unplugged the router completely and plugged the modem directly to the laptop (internet works just fine)
so I tried connecting it directly to the main pc (internet works just fine)
I suspected it was the ethernet cable from the router to the pc so I changed it nope it still doesn't work. When I can connect it all together (modem to router to main) the modem light on the router blinks orange originally it was the web that was blinking.

    What is the problem?

(I also tried 7's help support and they're troubleshooter it says on the main pc the connection between modem, gateway is broken and on the laptop it says not a valid IP configuration)

If just one computer is able to use the Internet, you don't have Internet problems, you have a local "network" problem.

Your title says, "Docsis 3.0 Modem" - again, if just one of your computers can surf the Internet, the modem is fine. So the problem would be between the router and each computer that does not work and I think you should try to solve each non-connected computer's problem, one at a time. Solving one will lead to the solution for the others.

One thing to remember is your router assigns a new IP to each connected computer. You reset the assignment tables each time you reset the router. So you would need to reset each computer, in turn too. To ensure the computer is reset, power down AND UNPLUG the computer's power cord from the wall (or, if your power supply is so equipped, set the Master Power Switch to disabled) for 15 - 20 seconds. This ensures the ATX Form Factor standard requiring +5Vsb standby voltages are completely removed from the motherboard, releasing any saved settings in the network adapters.

I would probably try to set the home group up again - since it is likely all new IPs have been assigned.
