EVERY time I get a video streaming, the flow goes ok for a minute or two, then locks up and puts a tone on. The computer has frozen, the mouse can't move, nothing. What can be causing that? Thanks for ideas!

You need to provide some info like System specs, what audio card/chipset you have.

Did it ever work?
What have you done recently that may have caused this? Did you update a driver, install or remove hardware or software?
Did this start after applying Windows Updates?

I'll have to install Everest to find that out. Gimme a bit of time.

Audio codecs? Exactly what do I need to look for in Everest? And where do I look up the chipset?
There was no update or anything before it, I was just trying to watch a basketball game online.
