    Hi,

It chrashes occationally when I am running 3d applications (3ds max 2010) or games.
The problem started about a month ago, which is a month after i installed windows 7.
I haved scanned my ram and that did not return any errors.

Any suggestiong on hov to diagnose and solve the problem will be much appriciated!

The link in my signature will give you an idea what we need to know to assist you with your issue.

    How old is your computer?
Did you do a system check before installing Windows 7?

Post back with more details please and particularly if your computer is still under warranty.

    kind regards,

My computer is from January 2009 - I did not do a ms systems check as the FujitsuSiemens support page lists the computer as windows 7 ready.

    Specs:
    Windows 7 x64
    Intel core 2 duo 2,53GHz
    4gb ddr3 sdram
    NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
    2x 320gb hdd

The computer is still under warranty, but I would hate to send in for repairs..

Humor me and do the Windows upgrade advisor test.

I have to disagree, if you have a warranty, why not access it, you paid for it. A system under warranty is just that, if you mess with it you void your warranty here in Australia. Maybe not the same where you live.

allright, I did the 'upgrade advisor test' - everything is compatible...

Regarding the warranty, it's not that I don't want to use it - it's just that I consider it to be a last resort, as I don't want to be without a computer for the duration of the repairs.

I know what you mean, but with a warranty enabled computer taking it to the supplier is the most sensible thing to do.

How long since you purchased this system has it been freezing/crashing as you describe? Has it just begun to happen, if so can you do a system restore?

Are there any error messages at all to help us research your issue?

I do not have Windows 7, but as no one else is replying, just trying to assist you with ideas to correct you problem.

    Let us know,

    kind regards,
