    HP laptop keeps crashing

Hi guys, not sure if this is Windows 7's fault or the laptops but for some reason whenever I close the lid of the laptop and open it later on the PC crashes and most recently I got the Blue Screen of Death.

Should note that it started happening when I installed MS 7 on it.. Anyone else getting this problem, and any idea on how to fix it??

My laptop is a HP Pavillion dv6770se series running on Windows 7 (originally was a Vista laptop)

    Regards,
    Mostafa.

    Hi,
Is it set to go into sleep mode when the lid is shut?
I had a problem back on vista that if I put my pc into sleep mode, it would just end up crashing and never properly go to sleep.... I never found a solution for it, but I have since installed 7 and that fixed it...

What info was on the BSOD? That may give a clue to what is happening but I would think it's driver related since it happens when coming out of sleep/suspend mode.

Eh, not really sure I didn't take anything down when it happened.

But the thing is that it didn't happen with Vista, just when upgraded it to Windows 7.

You may have received an updated driver via Windows 7 Automatic Updates that now has a problem. If you record the info next time, it may give us a clue to what is causing the problem.

    Hi Friend,
It would be better for you to have it checked by a trained technician, you could have also included some more symptoms and information like what system your running, OS, laptop specs, model etc. so that people here could diagnose your problem more easily.

    Thanks,
    James
