I have just purchased a new desktop with windows 7 64 bit, I am strugglind to load software from a CD, I think it requires 32 bit, can i change any settings to be able to laod this old software.

If the software is not Windows 7 64 bit or Vista 64 bit compattable I think the answer is no, sorry.Windows 7 will accept most software which is Vista compattable but 64 bit will not run 32 bit software and vica versa. But if I am wrong someone will on this site will correct me.

It might help to know the software. As for 32 versus 64 bit software, 64 bit software must be run on a 64 bit system however most 32 bit software should work on a 64 bit system. After all, most software is still 32-bit.
