Interestingly, if you "Explore" the backup image, that works correctly and you can look at everything there.

I installed ObjectDock on my Win7 install...having fun playing with it...

Now my Canon IP5000 is on the list, but you need to update windows.
I manually set it up, and when you get to the stage where it lists the available printers it is not on the list, but beside the normal "install from disk" option there is now an "update windows" button. Click this, and it will add more printers to the list (took about 10 minutes), and the Canon ip5000 was on the extended list.
