sooooooo NEW pc and NEW problems .....

anyways .. i bought whole new pc with new HD so i installed windows 7 ..

so with finally a good enough video card to run my dream games ... i tried installing my COD4 ... and it installed fine anyways whenever i try to start it ... "program cannot start because d3dx9_34.dll" .... i know thats some kinda of directx problem ... anyways i didnot install any directx after i installed 7 but it says that i have directx 11 in dxdiag ... so help????

could be a compaitibility issue with dx11, install dx9c and then try, if that dont work then you could always right click the exe file in the game directory and run the game in xp compatibility mode, that should solve your proplem. if not then try a clean install of the game.

thanks for ur reply well i when i saw the requirments for COD4 ... in the OS its vista or xp only ... so i reinstalled my vista but the game still did not run ... but when i downloaded and installed directx10 it worked

Try to download d3dx9_34.dll this is where i got the file from and solved the issue:
d3dx9_42.dll 9.27.952.3001 - Download and restore missing or deleted .DLL files at DLLCentral.com
