I found one possible work around but you have to have a Vista disk. If you don't have a Vista disk handy, for all that you need it for windows 2008 might work because they are similar but no guarantees. That link is for a trial. I haven't done this so I can't vouch for it. Good luck.

I don't have a Vista disk so I took my XP disk and did a full install then tried to Autorun the windows 7 disk but an error message said it needed SP2. I already have SP3 on a pen drive so installed that.
Then I Autorun the windows 7 disk again and the Install started .
Good. So no problems? Did you try what I suggested?
I did try first to take it to the repair windows stage but not with the Vista or server disk I thought the XP disk might of worked because I had remembered that When I installed XP there was a repair option.
When I got to the repair stage there was some reason why I could go no further but can't remember what it was.
It installed OK but there is something not just right if I go and leave it for half an hour when I come back the green power light is flashing as if it was in sleep mode but nothing I do can wake it so have to press the reset button.
When it restarts its on the boot options screen for safe mode etc but I just restart in normal mode .
Go into the power options from control panel and disable suspend and hibernate.
XP does have a recovery option but the installation disk isn't the same as Vista or Windows 7 so thats why it didn't work. The recovery console is probably newer on Vista and Windows 7 than on XP.

Hi,
To fix Error Code 5 on a Windows 7 system, you may need to re-burn the installation CD with the appropriate boot sector supported by ASRock or MSI at a slow speed to avoid any kind of error during the installation process. A lot of free burning programs are available over the Internet to complete the process quickly.
