    Exclamation Windows 7 Beta Expiration

From an email I received from MS:
IMPORTANT REMINDER ABOUT BETA EXPIRATION DATE

Thanks again for your help in testing the Windows 7 Beta.

We’re sending this mail to remind you that Windows 7 Release candidate is available and to make sure you plan ahead for when the Beta expires on August 1, 2009. On June 1, 2009, the PC you’re using to test the Beta will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will send you a notice a couple of weeks in advance, and that’d be the ideal time to rebuild your test PC with a non-expired version of Windows, such as the RC or Windows Vista. This will be a clean installation, so be ready to reinstall your programs and data.
IMPORTANT: If you are running Windows 7 Beta you’ll need to back up your data (preferably on an external device) and then do a clean install of the Windows 7 Release Candidate. After installing Windows 7, you will need to reinstall applications and restore your files.

    Another MS email:
We said the Beta would start shutting down every two hours on June 1, 2009. The correct date is July 1, 2009.
    It expires August 1.

    townsbg,

Thank you so much for updating everyone on news regarding W7. I'm glad to hear that you're keeping abreast of all of the situations at hand. For future references, the best site for all the up to date news on the product is found at the Windows 7 support forum, at micorsoft.com/springboard. The site will also give you all sorts of useful information, such as the “what’s new in the RC” feed….or you can also use talkingaboutwindows.com as an additional resource
    Thanks,

I'm sorry Susan but since the RC is no longer publically available according to our terms of service we cannot help you.
Discussing P2P file sharing programs such as Kazza and Imesh is fine, however PLEASE DO NOT ask for any assistance in using, finding or sharing files using P2P programs. As many of you are aware, these programs can be used to share copyrighted material which is illegal.
