Next time in the game I will get some shots.
Remember also that the hardware is in the equation. My dual 8800 GTX are rated at DirectX 10 but I am not familiar with cards that might be rated DirectX 11 and this might also be a factor. Meaning I am just seeing the upgrade from 9 to 10 and not 11 due to hardware.
I run XP 64 and now this 7 32. Regarding XP 64 I never found any advantage to it unless you want to run over 4GB RAM and or a server. The only game that I have that even indicates its presence is HL2 which on loading says running 64 bit. I have not seen this in Crysis.

Check out the installation folder. Crysis has binaries in 32 and 64-bit, ie. two different executables. Crysis Warhead on the other hand only has a 32-bit exe.
I took screenshots with both versions and can report absolutely no differences![]()

Anyone worked with windows 7? I downloaded the beta & I'm debating testing it, but I don't know on what. A friend said that it is more stable than Vista but I don't know about running a beta OS (the closest I've come to working with a pre-release was the vista RC-1). I already have vista so would it be worth putting on my computer? Any thoughts from anyone with experience with 7?

There is an on going thread here:
http://www.d-a-l.com/help/windows-vi...-7-beyond.html
Do not over write or upgrade but if you have a spare hard drive or partition then check it out.
It is pretty swift!
Anyway the linked thread has more comprehensive details.
No difference to me; looking great though Jeph.
Psst, tried TR: Underworld yet?![]()
I edited above post removing the load of screenshots for the sake of a text thread.
Captain One Ninja I have not yet left my underworld for hers but I long to.
I was deep in the Anniversary when I acquired both Fallout 3 and Left 4 Dead which consumed me through the autumnal months.
Perhaps as the present chill lifts off the shores of Paradise I might find the graces of our Lady.
All I can say is... WOW.
I've also yet to get my hands on a copy of TR-Underworld yet. In fact, I've not touched Tomb Raider ever since Tomb Raider 2... Wait, does the PSP version count? It was quite bad though...
Hello Townsbg-
My name is Jeff and I work with the Windows Outreach Team. First of I think jephree has made some very good points. Checking out other forums for ongoing conversations about peoples’ experiences with Windows 7 Beta is a great way to find out if the Beta is right for you. Secondly, dual-booting is a great way to install Windows 7. Upgrading is great too, but be sure to back up all your files and make sure you have the proper discs to reinstall your Visa OS. Upgrading is ridiculous.
You will need to reinstall not only your original OS but all service packs and programs.
A multiple boot setup is the only logical option.
I really cannot stress this enough: Do Not Upgrade to a Beta OS!
Create a new partition and install 7 via your existing OS thus creating a dual/multi boot system.
