Do you notice any graphics "upgrade" Captain?

    DirectX 11 now.

It's hard to notice when most games are still DX9

Any thoughts as to whether or not Windows 7 will be more successful than Vista? Anyone other than Jephree and Captain Mazda prefer it to Vista or XP?

Ive heard of quite a few people making the jump from XP to 7 and like it.

For me, after using Vista (and loved it) and now moving to 7 (and love it!) i would never go back to XP.

I've an AMD build coming up soon, and will probably post my Win7 findings after I get it lol. Planning to have it run Win7 Ultimate 64bit, but plans have a tendency to go awry for me.

You should consider if you need Ultimate.

From what I see the only difference over Pro is multiple languages plus some network security functions that would apply mostly to large networked companies. In other words hundreds of computers needing a bunch of distinct user groups etc.

    There is a $100 price difference: Pro retail @$199 / Ultimate @$299.

    Amazon
    H.P.--$200, Upgrade $120, 3 pack upgrade $150
    Pro--$300, Upgrade $200
    Ultimate--$320, Upgrade $220

Only a $20 difference between Pro & Ultimate. I would have ordered that if the pre-order sale applied to that.

Haha well I read that I can test it for 120 days without activation, but then I'm not sure if that's legal or not. I haven't been keeping up to OS-news up until recently.

I plan to check my university's store and see if they offer any student discount. Personally I am only looking for the Win7 equivalent of Home Premium or Business (Win Vista).
