Exclamation My page looks different on other peoples computers

    Hi,

I have made a website (www.kimberphotos.com). I made it in Dreamweaver and it looks perfect when I view in Internet Explorer on MY computer and it fits perfectly to the page. I made it in tables so the page should adjust to the viewers screen. But when I view it on other peoples computers everything is much bigger and they have to sroll along etc. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Your page width, with all the images, exceeds 800 pixels wide. It is a good idea to ensure your page width does not exceed 800 pixels as many people still browse at 800 x 600 desktop resolution.

You probably run a desktop resolution of 1280 x 1024 or similar whereas others may be looking at 800 x 600 or even 1024 x 720. See our example here of changing your screen resolution - http://www.d-a-l.com/screen-resolution.html

In Dreamweaver how do I just have to scale it all down. - Is there a quick way to do this?

    Thanks

You need to resize you images so in total they do not exceed 800 pixels across the top. You can of course make any page stretch the width of the screen by strecthing graphics, an example is on this forum...the header graphic on the left is 780 pixels wide..it ends about where the www.d-a-l.com bit is...then no matter how wide the page goes a nother bit of the graphic just tiles within the table to makeup the rest of it. With your design I would think it better to resize your main logo and the tabs though and reset the page, shouldn't take too long

For my website (www.kimberphotos.com) the logo would have to finish and how would I just make it tile to the end of the page??

Yes in your case you would not need to do this, I was just explaining how this site worked. You just need to resize those navigation tabs and also those square pictures.
