    DNS help

    Hi,

Hopefully someone with Web server experience can help me out on this?
My website and email server has recently moved as the old ISP kept crashing.
My server administrator has told me to redirect my DNS to a new code, eg 899.034.133.534, but I haven't much of an idea how to do this.

    Any ideas anyone?
    Cheers.

Yep you need to change your nameservers but it should be something more like ns1.d-a-l.com not a number... sure that sthe right DNS they gave you? Whos the Host and do you have control panel access via user name and password to control your account?

DAL is right. You need to know what your new Hosts name servers are. Then you can update that information with your domain registration so that they point your domain to the correct place. Can take up to 2 days to update... pain in the rear really.

    My own ones are:
    NS7.F5HOSTING.COM
    NS8.F5HOSTING.COM

Tackle the Web with $5.99 .COM's from Go Daddy!
They probably gave them new DNS IPs as the internet connection settings - that what they usualy do :P What operating system you are running on your server?
