i have had a disagreement with the hosts who also did all the maintinence because i am not computer literate.


i may have to move hosts and if i do wouldn't know how to start with the up keep of the site

they did this had used the site as a link to their business directory which has now gone.

I can't afford someone to maintain the place

have i lost the site, really am desperate i'm a single mum with three disabled kids and this site is my only social link will be lost without it

The site is still online, do you still have admin access to it etc?

i do for now don't know what else they will do they have already removed the home page so we won't get traffic from the search engine

Do you solely own this website and domain? If so you need to get a copy of all the data from the webhost. You need to get the FTP login (User Name and Password) to access the webspace. You can then download a copy of all the data and get a copy of the databases. You will then need to find a new webhost and point the domain name at that new host.

If you can get the required FTP login details we can help with instructions on how to download the data etc and point your domain at a new host.

Have you got email confirmation from where you bought the domain name from? If your hosts bought it for you then they may have registered it in their name and that could cause problems.
