A faimly member was on TV- i have it recorded on Video Cassette.

How can i transfer that from Video to be able to show it on the net as a clip?

There is no easy answer to that. We would have to know what kind of outputs your VCR has, and you generally need some sort of video capture or TV tuner card in your PC.

There are combination VCR players and DVD recorders for home theater systems that will also do what you want, but they can cost several hundred dollars - quid in your case.

If this is a one time deal, I would check your local services/yellow pages under "Video Transfer" - or punch video transfer yourtown in Google and see what comes up. Know about how long the clip you want copied is and call up and ask for a quote.

Or, noting from your profile you live in England - give Transfer Video a call. They have amazing prices! (I hope they are not too good to be true) Make sure you are allowed to make copies so you can email the clip if you want.

If it's under 10 mins/100mb you can post it on YouTube and they end up hosting it saving your website bandwidth/space
