It's one of them "English" things:

With a non-commercial site you can use most any image available on-line.

People concerned with copyrights generally "stamp" their images or will certainly let you know if they have an issue with your usage.

What is "out there" is "out there" and for non-commercial use you can use most anything.

IMHO...........It's always best to ask for permission to use the photo or photos from the copy write holder. In almost all cases I've found that permission is given as long as the website you are posting them is a non commercial site and a not for commercial use site. Just a little friendly advice from an old fart who has been around the internet for a lot more years than I care to admit.
