    Storage Space/ Bandwidth Requirement

    Hi All

I am still considering the best hosting option for my friends site.

I wondered if anyone can advise as to the solution for my requirements.
I appreciate without knowing the exact JPEG size- the following might be difficult.

    Storage:

    I will require:
    10 pages.
1 main logo – probably to be viewed on each page.
perhaps a simple word download document.
About 5 pages to have 20 JPEGs, plus a few more dotted around. So say 120 JPEGs.

    Bandwidth:
I would imagine to start about 25 visits a day… if became popular- we would be willing to extend our plan.

The JPEGs will be of Cars, T shirts, Shop Windows.

Moonfruit do 40MB storage and 6GB bandwidth a month. Would this suffice?

    Some idea would be useful!

    Kind regards

The 6Gb Bandwidth is likely to be more than enough based on what you said.

40Mb sounds a bit tight for disk space but that really is an impossible question to answer without knowing the picture sizes.

hmm - Yes i appreciate that.

Your answer has helped reaffirm what i thought though.
How about this http://www.streamline.net/hu.php with £150 MB disk space?

    Still hard to call?

Yes, for a basic site I would want 100Mb disk space minimum. You may not use even half of it to start with but it allows some room for growth and that's always a good idea when it comes to web projects.

    D-A-L thanks for your response.

So would you say 100Mb would suffice for what i need for the mentioned requirements?

Im not conccerned about grwoth- i would be willing to pay for another package if this site "took off" but for my short- term requirements would you think 100Mb suffices?

    Cheers

Like I said, It's impossible to answer that question in black or white, you could easily fill 100Mb with JPEG images if they were high resolution. However, my best guess based on the information you have prvided would be that I would think it was enough.
