I need to set up a database on our website with a list of customers machinery and its next inspection due date. I have the lists in excel presently. I'd like to have customers be able to log in to the database and browse through their own list only, no one elses obviously.
The host supplies MySQL® Databases and a heap of other stuff I don't even know what it does.
What would I need to set up what I want?

It would be quite straight forward if you know PHP. Do you have any knowledge of PHP and using mySQL?
