i am about to do a website for a freinds business. can someone please advise what the difference is between Windows and Linux servers- and which is better!?

The difference is what OS are running on the servers. Personally, I'd stick with linux for reliability

if i choose linux does that mean people with Windows OS will have issues viewing my site!?

i would stick with linux aswell. the os is only the os for the server. linux id say is more popular in the server world.

people with windows will not have a problem viewing the site.

im not 100% on this but i think D-A-L in on a linux system.
