Help. I am new to the internet. I'd like to post a photo to a personals web-site but not one of myself. How do I add an arbitrary photo to my profile over the internet? Everyone else has a photo - some even have photos of famous artists that they use intead of their own picture.

The web site should have an option to upload photos. Look in your user settings or profile etc.
You can then browse and upload from your My Pictures or you can use an on-line service such as photobucket.com

Thx jephree 4 a propmt reply. I have created an account with photobucket but am still lost. U must remember that what appears straight-forward to techies like u is like a foreign language to people like me. The personals website does have a button that says 'browse'. However i still don't know how to upload an image of for example Bob Marley as if it were my own.
Can u explain how to step by step in language for dummies?

You need to upload the picture of your choice to your photbucket account. That bit's easy as per the instructions on the photobucket page when you've logged in.
Once the image is on your photobucket you'll see there are lines of code underneath the image. Copy with your mouse the line of code that starts http://www
Now paste that code into your personals profile. If it has an option to link to a URL paste the code in that box. If it is saying that you can use a file from your own computer (hence the Browse button) the make sure you have copied the image to your computer and browse to the file to select it.
