Does any one know of an image veification system for posting comments + news in a E107 CMS. Im having problems with Spam being inserted onto my scouting website by some botnets

There are a number of image verification scripts available, however, I had exactly the same problem WITH image verification. Spam is not necessarily left by a bot - it's left by sad individuals that sit at their computers doing nothing but inserting spam across the world.

I now use a blog script by Plugged Out

It's free! In the admin panel you can turn image verification on or off. But the best bit is that it has a banned word list that you can add to or edit. I have not had one spam message left since I installed this! Because it will not accept comments with the drug names or casino etc they can't leave a message Woohoo!

thanks, i know its a bot because i catch snippets of the scripts.

ill have a look at both of those sites

REally.. it's not necesarily bots.. they're quite remote these days
