    Question website help

    Hello,

I am a complete beginner to website development and have just bought a web domain and hosting from DAL.
I wanted to use my website to deliver links to people to files on my computer which are too large to be sent by email.
I don't really know where to start! There are quite a few links I want to set up (at least 50) and I would like people to click on them in an email I send them, then be given the option to either 'save' or 'open'.
Also, I only want people to see the link I give them and none of the other links.
How is this possible and do I need a separate 'sub domain' for each link?
I would be grateful for any help!
    Thanks

Tackle the Web with $5.99 .COM's from Go Daddy!
    Hi,

You should have some details which allow you to log into your webspace. You need to use an FTP client such as http://www.smartftp.com to log into your webspace by using the provided ftp address, usually ftp.yourdomainname.com and the username and password.

Once logged in you can create a folder and upload the files from your PC to the webspace. You will then be able to link to those files from the email and allow people to download them.

If you get to that point first we can look at securing the other files so people cannot see them.
