    python IDLE start-up problem

    Hey, its me again.
I've been taking HTML for about two months and I've decided to start and learn python for programming. I downloaded the newest version of python and had it's sub-program working (IDLE - the programs name) and now it wont work anymore. The error I get is "Socket Error: Connection refused." After I click "okay" on it, another error pops up saying "IDLE's subprocess didn't make a connection. Either IDLE can't start a subprocess or personal firewall software is blocking the connection." Then once I click okay, the program closes (It opens in the backround while the errors are there but once the errors are gone, the program closes. It doeson't work properly if I leave the errors in the backround either.) After reading this error, I turned off windows firewall to see if it would work but it is still the exact same outcome. I also have Avast! anti-virus and I have shut that down, or at leaste I think I have but I am not totally sure how to work that program's firewall. Anyways I tried it again with Avast! off (I think), and the outcome is still the same. I don't know what else to try. If you have any ideas please help!

P.S.- Sometimes it works after trying to get it to work for a while, JUST ONCE. Then once I close it, it doesn't work anymore :S

    Help if you can please!
