i bought a web address but need somewhere to put it. I think i need space or hosting. Does anybody know where i can get this free but still keep my own www. address

What you could do is sign up for some free space and then redirect the domain name you bought to that space. If you search Google for free web space you should find a number of people you could sign up to.

Just a little more specific answer:

What you could do is sign up for freewebs (http://freewebs.com) and build your site on there. Then all you'd have to do is ask the company that you bought the domain name (www name) from to forward it to your freewebs address.
