    Exclamation 'Frames' and 'Targetting' _Self

    Dear collective,

    Playing with making a forum do what I want:

    Using the supplied options I can quite happily put URL's in and they fire up fine - with one slight problem. They always end up in a new window.

    Now I can trap the ACTIVE Board in a frame but other members may wander onto the Forum via routes other than my site.

    is there a way of making what I assume is Java code, not freak out when it encounters this:
    <a href="http://www.gibberish.com" target="_self">

    it appears to be either the last quote or the closing tag '>' that is the problem.

    TIA

    Tackle the Web with $5.99 .COM's from Go Daddy!
    Question unresolvable. HTML code for TARGET= is generated by the java.
